Happy Halloween!! Here are our pumpkins for this year, 2008! They turned out pretty good, and they look great with candles in them at night! Kudos to whoever came up with Carving Pumpkins!!Wednesday, October 29, 2008

Here we are in the Rocky Mountain National Park - October 19th. The day could not have been better, but at 12,183 feet in the air, its a little chilly. We spent the entire day winding around the park with the dogs and seeing some amazing views. On our way home we drove through, WinterPark, and the Arapaho National Forest.

Here is our last trick with our Dolphins. This is called the "pull". You sit in the water with both hands stretched out to your sides and both dolphins swim up on each side of you, and you grab a hold of each fin and away you go. We took a fun, fast ride around the cove. We might look terrified, but just the opposite. We were going so fast, it was hard to keep the water out of your
mouth!
Here we with our Dolphins, doing the Foot Push! You lay flat on your belly in the water with your arms straight out in front of you, your feet flexed behind you. All of a sudden both Dolphins hit the back at your feet at the same time. As you lift your arms out of the water, the Dolphins force your body up and out of the water as well. This was awesome. The sheer force and strength, not to mention the coordination it takes to perform this trick is amazing. We felt like we were walking on water!
Here is David with the Sting Ray "Angie". We were both able to get inside the cove and hold the sting ray. To my surprise she was very heavy. I would estimate he weight to be about 50lbs. The pictures do not really do this amazing animal justice. They are absolutely amazing up close. The trick here was, to keep massaging her under belly. She loved it!!

Here we are at Dolphin Cove with our Dolphins! By far the most exhilarating experience we have ever had. The Dolphins are just amazing creatures and even more so up close. Our Dolphins were named Mitch and Skye. You can pick Skye out of the picture with David easily, because her entire belly is a light shade of pink. Mitch is the Dolphin with Kipling. This is the "Kissing" portion of our experience.

Here is the local band Sandals hired to play for their Caribbean Sunset Bonanza! This band was great, they walked the entire length of the resort playing music. At one point they walked directly past our room, in which were we taking a nap. Needless to say, we were up in a flash to see where the music was coming from.
Our Last Day!!
Favorite Spots!

Jamaica has a bobsled team!!! Anyone see Cool Runnings? The Jamaican people are so thrilled and proud of their bobsled team, and love the movie Cool Runnings! They have a Bobsled Cafe in Downtown Montego Bay, in which they play the Movie 24 hours a day 7 days a week!! Ya Mon!! These two pictures were taken the night we went on our sunset cruise!

Here are some more pictures from Dolphin Cove. This was our favorite part of the trip, after a very long drive to get to Ocho Rios. We discovered the drive well worth it. We were able to swim and interact with dolphins, sting rays and other animals. Besides the awesome interactions with the animals, the views were breath taking.
Dave and a Few of the Locals
Here are a few pictures of Dave getting close to the local wild life. The birds on the left, were actually happily at home on our resort. Dave loved to walk by and chat with them. They only could say Hello, but who wants to have a lengthy conversation with a bird. :) The picture on the right are birds happily at home at Dolphin Cove. This is an educational attraction located in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. They have birds, lizards, goats, dolphins, sharks and sting rays all living at Dolphin Cove. All the animals are rescue animals a
re now safe and sound helping teach people about the ocean habitat.

The resort also has a gaming area, which as you can see included several pool tables. So we enjoyed the evening with some mean games of pool and continued to sweat like crazy. The overall temperature on the island was between 80 - 90 day and night with about 90% humidity. So whenever you were outside, you felt like you were sweating to the oldies with Richard Simmons. It was very uncomfortable until you go
t used to it.
